Noctua NH-U12P Special Edition SE2 for AM2, AM3, 775, 1366, 1156 Review

Bought this from one of the resellers for 66.49 (don't know where Amazon get's their $140+ price from). Am using it on i7 860 chip.This is one of the few coolers that has a bracket for the 1156 socket.The unit comes with two 120mm Noctua fans.I only used one and used the other to replace an Antec case fan that came with the case.

With no OC, the idle temp ranges 24-27°C. Using an Asus P7P55D motherboard and using their auto OC tuning, idle temp range jumps up about 10°C. Have only had this build up and running for two days, so I have not had a chance to do much testing.I'm not a gamer, so it should be more than adequate cooling for my needs.And it's quiet-really quiet.

Caution: this is a large heat sink and will not fit in some cases.I'm using an Antec P-183 case and have about an inch clearance between the top of the cooler and the case cover.
