I have 3 of the same (older) switch as the Kentucky Fried Switch reviewed here and have been using it without a problem for 18 months as well as this switch, which I've been using for about 6 months. I was resistant to buying Hawking equipment at first because the price was so low, but they have won me over. I prefer to buy managed switches for the wiring closet (usually buying used Cisco equipment), but for out in the user areas, in lab and workbench areas, I prefer these switches. a) they're cheaper (and reliable) and b) they're quieter than managed switches. I used to buy NetGear switches for this, but I've now switched to Hawking for their cheaper prices.Click Here to see more reviews about: Hawking 8 port 10/100 Mini Switch - HFS8T
