I installed this controller in a VM ESXi white box server.It was recognized by the OS and works just fine in either RAID 0 or RAID 1 configurations.Note, however, that regardless of what the product description says, there is NO breakout drive cable in the box.You must purchase the cable separatly, which adds at least $25 to the cost of the controller. Thus, I drop a star.
