My wife's PC was not restoring the network connection after sleeping sometimes, sometimes it was really slow on the network, and sometimes it would just stop working in the middle of things. After replacing the cable, inserting a switch between it and the router, and making sure the latest drivers were installed I have up on the built in Realtek NIC on the mobo. I did some research and purchased this Intel NIC. The troubles are gone and things are faster on the network now for her.
