Seagate 160GB 2.5" Internal Sata 8MB Cache Hard Drive ST90160N1A3AS-RK Review

I purchased this hard drive about a year and one half ago. It has been run very little since I installed it on a very fast gaming box I built since I have been using Linux on an older box mostly.

However, it failed without warning recently . . . totally failed taking my RAID configuration down with it.

It bought this drive because I was told the maker was one of the most reliable . . . I've had worse drives that lasted less time but I'nm am more than sick of the crappy hardware that fails after limited use . . . just sick of it.

I recommend NOT buying this hard drive.

Almost at the same time, my external hard drive from the same manufacturer . . . my back up drive . . . failed totally.

I will not be buy any more hard ware from this manufacturer again.
