-These arrived ahead of Amazon's projected receipt date.The box was 1 short of the quantity I had ordered; however, Amazon customer service corrected that problem, and sent the "lost" item quickly. Thank you!-Amazon's packaging was dreadful--the box was partly open on the bottom because little glue and tape had been used on the cardboard.
-As these USB cables basically have a "repeater" to amplify signals in both directions along the USB cable (I assume), to gain extra length in USB cords (normally limited to 16 feet), I expected a data delay.This delay (slower data transmission) seems to be longer than I had expected in some uses (e.g., for WiFi), but I have NO grounds for comparison as I have not used any other such USB extenders.[I do not see any "specs" stated on this, so just be aware that there will be a delay....]
-I have "ganged" these cords 2 or 3 together, as the product descriptions say you can do, and they are "acceptable."Of course, the data slowing does seem to worsen with more lengths plugged together--but that is far better than the alternative (having no access at all, or having to physically move printers and peripherals around)!Bottom line--I am satisfied so far, as they do what they were supposed to do, allowing long runs of USB cabling.The price was EXCELLENT, in September 2009, well below that of "plain" USB cables I found.We'll see how they last (reviews of other products suggested that some such cables do not work for long)....
