I had wanted a workstation to consolidate several PC's running cad (SolidWorks), and music software (Pro Tools). After much research I saw this one, reviewed the specs and purchased. I liked the fact that it was pre loaded with XP Pro, and had the appropriate PCI Slots in addition to PCI Express slots. Plenty of USB Ports. The video card is not what I would consider top of the line, but it is a Dual Card, which I am utilizing with 2 21" monitors. The price was in my view a good deal. My apps don't really need quad core technology, so this fit the bill. There also wasn't alot of "junk" pre-installed. I will state that I really didn't have any experience with HP, as I have previously built my own from the ground up, so I was a bit apprehensive. After having this up and running for several weeks, I am happy with it so far. Start up and getting it going was a breeze. Also I have added an additional hard drive, and HP has some very clever engineering as far as how you add drives, and such. I really don't have any negative points to share.Click Here to see more reviews about: HP Promo XW4600 E5200 160/2GB NVS290 Ws US - English Localization
