Hitachi Deskstar P7K500 250GB 7200RPM SATA/300 8MB HDDI had the 160 GB version of this hard drive, and it worked great for 2 years, when it lived up to its nickname as the "Deathstar". I started up and I got the dreaded SMART failure saying "Back up your data; a failure is imminent." Luckily there was nothing important on it. I will never buy another Hitachi hard drive.
