As of this writing (October 2007) this 8600GT video card with 512MB of DDR3 video RAM is the best value among video cards in the $100 to $200 price range. For the same amount of money you can find "slighty" faster cards on the market with only 256MB of DDR3 video RAM ... or MUCH slower video cards that have 512MB of DDR2 RAM.Bottom line, if you are shopping for the best video card you can find in the $100 to $200 price range then THIS is the card you need to buy.
