Kingston 256MB PC133 DMC3 2nd TIER OEM Review

I have an aging Vaio desktop computer, purchased in 2001.It still works fine for most things, but was slow to load web pages and feeling dated.My husband and I thought about buying a new computer, but thought twice about generating more electronic waste and the amount of time required to migrate everything.I opened the case and noticed that there was an unpopulated memory slot.A web search found the specs for the type of memory needed (this product).Once the card arrived, I was able to install it myself.(There are good instructions available on the web for this.)The computer recognized the memory immediately, web pages load faster, applications run better and there is one less desktop in the waste stream.I think we can get a few more years use out of our old Vaio!I consider this a good returnon our investment.
