USB Desktop Keyboard with Mechanical Key Switches Review

USB Desktop Keyboard with Mechanical Key Switches...this is as close as you're going to find to one on the market today, it has the "windows" keys if having same is important to you, and it hooks to your laptop without having to stack two hard-to-find adapters. The feel of the keys is pretty darn close to what I remember from the old IBM keyboards, and consistent key to key.Fast typing is no problem.

The only downside is that it also *sounds* like an old IBM keyboard, but if that doesn't bother you, the only other consideration is whether or not having a great keyboard is worth the steep price tag.I've been using mine for a couple months now and it is still working fine.If you need a keyboard, consider yourself a keyboard snob, and have given up scouring eBay and used computer stores for the "good" IBM 'board, this is probably what you should buy.

FWIW it is not listed in the product description but it is also perfectly compatible with my laptops running Linux - Gateway 7330GZ/Ubuntu 9.04 and Dell Precision M90/Ubuntu 9.10.Only gotcha is that with the Dell in a docking station, I needed to plug the keyboard into the PS/2 port, not a USB port, to allow me to log in from a cold boot for some reason.Worked fine on either PS/2 or USB thereafter.
