ok first things first some people on here are saying that the rail that holds your laptop on here will scratch the front of your Mac. So all i did was buy a $2.00 dollar square of felt, cut a small strip and stuck it on the rail over the "two screws of doom" and boom bam, problem solved. and YES it will allow you to put in and take out dvd/cds with ease, it won't jam it in their and cause it to explode.
