This is a GREAT computer, and well worth the price.But, you DO need a patch to solve the video stutter.The problem is tech support at Gateway.It took me 6 calls over 2 days to finally find someone who knew what they were talking about.The first 5 people I talked to knew nothing of this problem, or the patch.I was just ready to take it back, and decided to call tech support one more time.The person said immediately he knew of the problem, and emailed me a link to the AMD patch.Since loading that, this system has been all I've wanted, and more.I would have rated this 5 stars, but the hassle with tech support took this down a notch.The problem that requires this patch is not a Gateway issue, but a Windows Media Center issue.But, Gateway needs to keep all their tech support people up to date with these issues.
If you can deal with getting the patch, get this computer.If this scares you, go with something else.But, chances are you will have similar issues with another PC becasue of Windows MCE.
