Purchased for use with a new iMac desktop. The ports in the hub are responsive, even after bringing the Mac out of "sleep". Long periods of inactivity don't cause drifting or loss of peripheral connectivity as with many other powered USB hubs. The front two USB ports are handy and convenient for two flash drives. Nice small footprint and attractive, too. This is the same Belkin hub that is recommended up on the Apple site.
