I wanted this to illuminate the keyboard on my desktop. The base was too small so I had to glue it to a wider base to keep the lamp from falling over. I also had to use a strip of electrical tape to put a "hood" around the LEDs so the light wouldn't shine in my eyes. The touch switch is a nifty idea but you often have to lick your finger to get it to work. Also, if you would need to route the USB cable under your desk to reach a USB outlet it would be too short. Perhaps the designers will remedy these shortcomings in the next go-round. Meanwhile, with all that said, it is working for me.
