Absolutely no complaints about the performance of this unit. Fast and quiet with high quality labels. Well designed and sturdy. It feels, looks and acts like a quality labeller.My only issue is the display which is a bit weak unless you hold it at a rather severe angle. I look right over it when I use it and the characters are weak. I keep looking for a contrast button but there is none to be found.
You should also know that it does not come with either an ac adapter (a $24.95 option from Dymo) or the required 6 AA batteries. Not a huge deal but I'd have preferred the ac adapter as I keep this on the same spot on my desk. The tapes are quite pricey, as you'd imagine, but at 23' feet they last quite some time unless you are using this 10 times a day or using it to print the same label over and over. If you need labels like this it would be cheaper to have them printed. (The one included tape cartridge is only 10'. A cheap detail by Dymo but I know they make their money from the tapes and want you back to the store for supplies asap.)
Overall, a very good choice. I'd have give 5 stars with a bit better, easier to read display screen. The lack of an ac adapter keeps the price down, at least. I'm guessing that 6 AA alkaline batteries will last at least a year -depending on use.
