This memory module has functioned flawlessly 1 1/2 months
in a Dell Dimension L500cx (antique).Some computers,
such as Dell, seem to be very fussy about memory module versions.

So (for any computer for that matter), you should always
check the memory manufacturer's web site for compatibility
with the computer.I've had some memory modules that
worked fine in several other computers.
