I chose this cooler by its low price and pretty high rating in a CPU cooler review.It comes with a variety of mounts to cool most current CPU's.
I am very pleased with its performance.It is about 20 deg C cooler (max 67) than the stock cooler (max 85) for my I7 920.It is not overclocked.I have an ASUS P6X58D M/B and Lian Li PC-B25B medium tower case.
It is very easy to change the different mounts.
I had a hard time installing it due to the fan covering the push pins.It was very hard to get my fingers in to push and turn the pins.I winded up taking off the fan and then pushing the pins and then reinstalling the fan (relatively easy because the fan is only held on by two clips).
When I first tried it, I was disappointed that my max temp was 89 deg C!I assumed that I didn't install the pins properly.I found that two of the pins were loose.I pulled my motherboard and installed the cooler and verified that the push pins were fully engaged.It was a lot easer to install the cooler with the motherboard out of the case.I reinstalled my motherboard and very pleased that the temps were much better.
It is slightly noisier than the stock cooler when the loading goes up.Otherwise it is pretty quiet.
