Desktop Computer Review: Dual/Two LCD Monitor Stand Desktop Clamp Holds up to 26" Widescreen Displays New Review

Having been appalled by prices of top tier mounts and disappointed with quality of low end products, I was hesitant to take a chance on this mount.However, I'm very glad I did.To me, the key features of a mount are sturdiness, adjustability and appearance.Next are ease of installation and ease of adjustment.This mount does very well in all areas, and well exceeded my expectations.It is not fully articulated-one monitor cannot be raised above the other, but I did not expect that nor want to pay for that extra.The adjustments are smooth, and depending on how much you tighten the joints, firm or easy to move.Height is set by raising the entire set of arms on the vertical stand.Monitors can be moved almost anywhere on the horizontal plane, as well as turned, tilted or rotated.I have a 26" and a 22" monitor mounted, and it looks great.The 22" sits slightly lower (no individual vertical remember), but it looks fine and is very usable.The stand, frankly, looks expensive.The hardware is sturdy, the joints are flexible yet not sloppy and lock in position with the included hex wrench.All metal parts have an excellent satin black finish.Plastic parts (bolt covers and such) fit and remain in place.Even the hex wrench has a rubber dip "handle"-not necessary, but it's a nice touch.It's probably a two or three person job to get the monitors on the upright-at least that's the easy way to do it.I mounted the monitors on the arms and had my assistants lift it onto the upright where I set the height and tightened it.Had I no help handy, it could have been done by mounting the arm low on the upright and (carefully) attaching one monitor at a time.For what it's worth, I'm not aware of any multi-monitor mount that is an easy, one-person job.There was a slight nick on the upright-hardly noticeable and nothing I would bother to complain about.Shipping was prompt and the freight reasonable.Overall, at this price, I have to give it five stars.Truly an excellent product.
