5 in 1 Multi Functional USB Connector Adapter Cable Review

I got this for 2 reasons: first to see if my Verizon-ized HTC Touch Pro Windows Mobile 6.1 phone would accept a USB mass storage device (turns out it won't) and secondly just to have around b/c it looks versatile and useful. I haven't found a anoter use for it yet, but it's worth the price to me just to have in my wire & connector stash.

Sapphire HD4850 Pcie 512MB DDR3 2PORT Dvi-i/tv Out 256BIT Review

I just upgraded to this 4850 from a 7600GT, so the difference was enormous for me.
So far, I'm extremely pleased, and very impressed, with this card. It's less than $200, and it has power to handle everything you throw at it to date (within reason). It needs only 1 6-pin PCIe connector as well, instead of 2 like it's competition, the GTX260.
The GTX260 is a tad faster, it's true, but it's around 10-20% faster for an increase of around 80% in price (at time of writing this). That's enough for me to decide on this little powerhouse.
So you get an idea of what it does: so far, I can play Crysis at High with CCC mod at 1280x1024 butter smooth (not a single frame drop... can probably go higher), CoD4 at max on everything at this rez, and it's 3DMark06 score (sorry, no Vista for Vantage) is 11,900ish.
People are talking about how hot this card runs, and that is true. Out of the box, it comes with a stock fan speed of around 20-30%, which makes the card sit at 70-80ºC on idle. It still loads at around 85ºC though. With the easy fan fix mentioned by the previous reviewer, and setting the fan speed to barely 45%, mine went all the way down to 53ºC at idle. Same load temperature of course.

This is the card to get right now.

Disney Dream Desk PC Review

We've had this computer for about a year now (purchased through the Disney Store). It's been so much fun! I hope they sell more Dream Desks in the future! For starters, it's very attractive. Everyone compliments on how cute it is. Both the screen and the mouse are shaped like Mickey.Secondly, it comes equipped with Disney Pix editing software for both digital pictures and digital video. It's very easy to use. I've added an example picture in the product description. You can also create your own drawings with the same software. The digital pen makes it a blast for kids. Great buy!!!

Not much to ay about the item other than it works as promised!

With the stories of problems people had experimenting with other memory brands, speeds, etc...I did not fully expect this product to work.But it works, and has been running for the past month without a single issue.

I had a 4GB iMac and using PhotoShop and Lightroom 2 at the same time pretty much required that I shut everything else down... and then it still dragged along.I would not have imagined that the extra 2GB would make such a difference.

I can now run Photoshop, Lightroom 2, Safari, Calendar, Mail, and even Parallels at the same time before I start to see significant performance issues.Often this is still not as bad as just the two main applications on the 4GB system.

You can trust this memory to work.
I was about to pitch the whole thing and go with a Mac Pro with 8-16GB of memory, (and not pay the house for a few months).
Turns out that this minor upgrade was enough. I am VERY happy.

ASUS A8N5X K8N4-E SE/Deluxe A8N-E/SLI/SLI SE North Bridge Chipset Cooler Fan Review

Asus motherboards are a good product, but for some unknown reason Asus decided to use a short-lived, poor quality Northbridge chipset fan motor on their A8N5X MOBO.I've learned this fan fails consistently, and it ruined my own system without warning.

It's almost impossible to replace the dead fan without removing the MOBO from the case...I'm not happy with Asus.The only good news is that I found a replacement fan still available at Amazon....must be due to the high demand for new ones.
